For 23 years, Ed Sullivan hosted an American institution, "The Ed Sullivan Show". Every Sunday at 8 o’clock, America turned on their televisions to CBS to watch his live variety show, not only hoping to catch a glimpse of the established stars of popular music but also to discover new trends and up-and-coming stars.
